OGSA participants, pitchers, and pitchers in training:

Get ready for the Fall by attending a pitching clinic next week presented by Dan Eakin, OGSA President and Founder of the KC Peppers.  Clinics will be offered Monday, August 8th at 6:30pm and 7:30pm and again on Wednesday, August 10th at 6:30pm and 7:30pm inside the Lone Elm indoor facility.  If your schedule permits, you should try and attend a slot on Monday and Wednesday in order to review on Wednesday what you learned on Monday.  It is not required to attend two sessions however.  Any session is a great deal at only $10.00.  You will need to provide your own catcher (it can be anyone from a teammate, to a parent, to a sibling).  The clinics are open to any experience level.  We encourage you to get a jump on the season by beginning your practice now!

Tournaments are quickly approaching!! Our initial informational meetings will be held on Tuesday, 3/1, at the OGSA complex off of 151st street (13901 W 151st st. Olathe, KS 66062). These meetings will be held at the concessions stand at 4:15 & 5:15pm. You must be at least 14 years old. Please make sure to have your social security number with you, as you will need this to complete the application. If you have any questions, please contact Dan Eakin at 913-269-3171.

League Information: The Indoor Hitting League is a competition between teams comprised of 4 players each hitting against a pitching machine for points. Teams play 7 innings. Points are determined by the placement of the hits.

Season/Dates: This league will be held on Sundays and Tuesdays, beginning November 7th, 2021 for 5 weekly sessions. The hitting league will end the week of December 14th.

• Sunday – November 7th, 14th, 21st, December 5th & 12th – Skipping the 28th of November
• Tuesday – November 9th, 16th, 30th, December 7th & 14th – Skipping the 23rd of November

Divisions: Teams will be placed into divisions to compete against other teams of the same age. The girls will play in the division of the oldest teammate. 

Awards: The team with the most points at the end of the season within each age group will receive individual trophies.

Registration: Registration will be done via OGSA’s online system, with fees set at $260 per team ($65/player). The person that creates the team is responsible for making the payment. In order to participate, the balance MUST be paid prior to the registration deadline (October 30th). Registration closes Sunday, October 30th, 2021. After registration closes, the schedule will be released. We have 3 hitting tunnels which allows 3 teams to hit at the same time. You may request earlier/later time slots when you register, but times will not be guaranteed. The younger teams will go first, with the older girls hitting later on during the day.

OGSA will be having our annual elections October 4th, @6:30 at our 151st facility.

On Monday 10/4/21 OGSA held its annual election of officers.  There were 10 positions open including Vice President and Treasurer (President and Secretary are not up for re-election until next year).
